This is a classical guitar made with lattice bracing.

I made a series of five guitars based on “The Book of Five Rings”,  a text on kenjutsu written by legendary swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi, with one guitar made for each chapter: Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, and Emptiness. This is is the third guitar in the series.

The top is Western Red 'Chocolate' Cedar, and the back and sides are Ancient Kauri, a wood from New Zealand that's carbon dated to be over 50000 years old. The back is laminated with mixed rosewoods and cypress.
