'water'

This is a classical guitar built in the spanish style. It was made in 2015 during the September course at The European Institute of Guitar Making, under the direction of Stephen Hill.

I made a series of five guitars based on “The Book of Five Rings”,  a text on kenjutsu written by legendary swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi, with one guitar made for each chapter: Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, and Emptiness. This is is the first guitar in the series and features a tidal wave head design and an 'endless river' rosette.

The top is Western Red Cedar, and the back and sides are Padauk.
